UAE's GCAA participates in International Air Transportation Conference in Nairobi

NAIROBI, (Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2018) The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, GCAA, is participating in the International Air Transportation Conference negotiations which began in Nairobi, Kenya on 10th December and concludes on 14th December, 2018.

Heading the UAE delegation is Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, GCAA Director-General, accompanied by local civil aviation authorities and heads of the national carriers. The delegation will hold talks on air transport with more than twenty countries to develop relations. On the first day of the conference, the delegation met with the delegation of the Republic of Nigeria and held a record number of discussions on increasing the number of flights.

"This annual conference is an important platform for the Air Transportation services, as it is an international forum for ICAO’s member states, during which bilateral meetings are held to discuss all issues related to the rights of air transportation and how to improve it," Al Suwaidi said.

The UAE is one of the leading countries in the world in concluding air transportation agreements as it has signed 175 agreements in this field.
