ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2018 ) :Pakistan Peoples Party senior leader Farooq H Naek Thursday claimed that Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had no link with Pak Lane Company, whose affairs are being interrogated by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Talking to media after appearing before the NAB here, he said his clients had submitted all the relevant documents proving that Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto had nothing to do with the company.
Farooq Naek said the demarcation of 2760 acres land was carried out in the presence of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), following which Deputy Commissioner Revenue declared the demarcation null and void on request of the civic body.
After the cancellation, the land demarcation is still pending despite repeated requests of the company, he added.
He, being counsel for Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto, requested the authorities to withdraw the investigation against his clients as they had no role in any affair of the company.
Farooq Naek was of the view that the Parliament should make a proper legislation on accountability as that NAB ordinance promulgated as a 'temporary' legislation.
On the occasion, PPP leader Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said that there was no concept of ordinances in a democratic set up rather legislation was made through the parliamentary process.
