Enough Stock Of Wheat Available In GB: Ikramullah

Director Civil Supply Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Ikramullah Baig dispelling impression about lack of wheat has said that there is no wheat shortage in the area.
ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2018 ) :Director Civil Supply Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Ikramullah Baig dispelling impression about lack of wheat has said that there is no wheat shortage in the area.
Talking to media men, he said the department had supplied enough wheat to the upper areas of various districts of GB and the people were facing no problem in this regard despite heavy snowfall.
He said wheat depots had been set up at various main points to meet future requirements and supply was continuing to these places in smooth manner.
The department had always taken measure for facilitating people and employees had been directed to ensure that residents especially of far-flung areas faced no problem in getting wheat, he said.
He informed that special teams had been constituted to raid such unscrupulous business elements and ensure commodities of life at affordable level to the area people.
It has been ensured to display complete information about available stock of the wheat, its distribution and total population strengthen at specific places in wheat supply offices, godowns, flour dealers at all districts of the area, he said.
He said that comprehensive monitoring mechanism had also been put in place and contact numbers had been provided.People may convey their complaints or reservation of any kind in this regard so that the entire process may be pursued in a transparent manner.
