UK Universities Delegation Calls On Health Minister

Professor John Wright of Bradford University and Professor Dr Atif ur Rehman of Liverpool University, UK called on minister for National Health Services Aamer Mehmood Kiani here on Wednesday.
The delegation shared with Minister that Bradford University in collaboration with Health Ministry is undertaking birth Cohort study in Pakistan.
This study will cover nutrition,mental health, non-communicable diseases with aim to ascertain challenges in control of these diseases.
Talking to delegation, the Minister said that in accordance with vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government was giving top priority to health sector.
He appreciated the delegation for undertaking the study which is the first of its kind initiative on large scale.
He said such research was being increasingly used world over for policymaking.
