MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th December, 2018) Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that he did not know about any discussions about the possibility of amendments to the Russian constitution between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Earlier in the day, Medvedev published an article, dubbed "25 Years of Constitution: Balance Between Freedom and Responsibility," in the Zakon (Law) magazine, in which he said that any possible changes to the Russian constitution should be aimed at actualizing the status of government bodies without compromising the protection of the people.
"I know nothing about that. I have never heard about that," Peskov told reporters, when asked if he was aware of such discussions between Putin and Medvedev.
On Wednesday, Russia celebrates the Constitution Day, marking the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Russian constitution.
