KP Govt Decides To Sell Out 18MW Electricity To Gadoon Industrial Estate

The Khyber Pakthunkhwa government has decided to sell out 18 megawatt electricity from Pehour power station to Gadoor Industrial estate to help revive closed industrial unities and generate employment opportunities for youth besides strengthening economy of the province.
This was decided during 26th meeting of board of Directors of KP Power Energy Development Organization (PEDO) with Sahibzada Saeed Ahmed in chair.
Secretary Energy Salim Khan, Chief Executive PEDO Engr Ziaullah Shah, PESCO Chief Dr Amjad Ali, Deputy Secretary Home Akmal Khattak, President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Faiz Muhammad and other senior officials attended the meeting.
The meeting decided to take strict disciplinary action against elements involved in delay in completion of ongoing energy projects and recovery of losses made to national kitty in this connection.
The meeting expressed great concerns over delay on part of different contractors on different projects including Mataltan hydropower project of 84MW, Lawi hydropower project of 69MW, Koto hydropower project of 40.8MW, Karora hydropower project of 11.8MW and Jabora hydropower project of 10.2 megawatt.
The meeting decided to issue show-cause notices to projects directors involved in unnecessary delay in ongoing projects and directed to invite all project directors in next meeting for briefings in this regard.
