Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) Announces Scholarships For Federal Govt. Officers

The Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) has announced to provide twenty fully-funded scholarships to the officers of federal government to study at the universities in Japan under the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS).
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :The Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) has announced to provide twenty fully-funded scholarships to the officers of Federal government to study at the universities in Japan under the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS).
Through this scholarship, 18 scholars for Master's programme (2 years) and 2 scholars for Doctoral programme (3 years) will be selected from the federal government officers of Pakistan.
The newly announced fully-funded scholarship program will commence next year, Embassy of Japan in a press release said on Tuesday.
JICE had also organized a seminar in which deputy secretary of Economic Affairs Division (EAD) Rashid Sohail, Counselor of the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan Yuji Tokita, and Representative of JICA Pakistan Takuya Sei spoke about the newly launched scholarship programme.
Tokita expressed the hope the relationship between Pakistan and Japan would be further strengthened.
He said it was expected that JDS scholarship for Pakistan would contribute to strengthening administrative organizations and solving development issues through training of Pakistani government officers.
