PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra Tuesday chaired a meeting to review tangle measures in tribal belt after its merger with settled area.

Additional Chief Secretary, former FATA, Secretary P&D and high-ups of departments concerned were present at the meeting.

The meeting directed the departments concerned to prepare the PC-1 on urgent basis for utilization of Rs 10 billion allocated for different uplift works in FATA.

The meeting also decided to issue directives for installation of solar panels in all the mosques of the tribal areas. It was decided that solar panels would also be installed at all public places in tribal areas including hospitals and schools for which an amount of Rs150 million was already allocated. In first phase, these solar panels would be installed in 100 mosques of tribal areas.

The meeting was told that an agreement has been signed with the State Life on December 5th for issuance of Sehet Insaaf Cards from January 2019 in tribal belt.

Issuance of Sehet Insaaf Card would be made with accordance to survey done for Benazir Income Support Program.

All the deserving families of these areas would be provided these cards, the meeting was told.

The meeting was further told that a sum of Rs 45 million was required to initiate 'Telemedicine Program' into newly merged tribal areas. Work on this project would soon get started as the PC-1 has been prepared by IT board. It was told that the domain of KPIMU health program would also be extended up to the tribal areas.

For standardization of 21 higher secondary schools of FATA, a sum of about Rs1365 million has been allocated. To enhance job opportunities in tribal areas, the meeting was told that Rs one billion would be given to Khyber Bank to provide interest free loans to the youth of FATA.

The meeting was informed that 25 sports stadiums would be constructed in erstwhile FATA areas and sports festival would beorganized on regular basis in order to promote healthy activities in the areas.

The meeting was further informed that all these projects would be completed within a period of one year and meetings of Special Provincial Development Working Party would be conducted for approval of these projects.
