Iranian General Confirms Ballistic Missile Test Previously Announced by Pompeo

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh confirmed on Tuesday that Iran had conducted a test of a ballistic missile, which was earlier announced by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th December, 2018) Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh confirmed on Tuesday that Iran had conducted a test of a ballistic missile, which was earlier announced by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Earlier in December, Pompeo said that Iran had test-launched a medium-range ballistic missile capable of carrying "multiple warheads," in violation of a UN Security Council resolution. Pompeo added that the United States condemned the test and called on Iran to immediately stop such activities.

"We are conducting missile tests, the latest [test] was very important," Hajizadeh told the Fars news agency.
