Rs 5.2 Mln Fine Imposed On 83 Power Pilferers In Multan

Task force of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) imposed fine of Rs 5.2 million on 83 power pilferers during a crackdown across 13 districts of the region, on Monday.
According to Mepco office sources, in line with special directions of CEO Mepco Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, the task force launched crackdown against power pilferers.
The power pilferers included 51 in Multan circle, 14 in DG Khan circle, 9 in Bahawalpur circle, 3 in Muzaffargarh circle and six in Khanewal circle.
The Mepco task force also got registered FIRs againstfive power pilferers with the concerned police stations.
