Fatima Jinnah Women University Organizes Film Festival To Highlight Human Rights

Student Affair Department, Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration with Potohar Organization for Development Advocacy (PODA) Pakistan Monday organized a film festival to highlight human rights through cinematography.
The event was arranged to celebrate 70th Anniversary of human rights declaration. On this occasion a documentary titled "The Girl Who Saved My Life" was screened for students and faculty members.
Addressing the participants as a chief guest Ambassador of Sweden Ms. Ingrid Johansson said FJWU was an institution which was promoting education and women rights to make them useful and active citizens of the society.
The ambassador said such events promote awareness about human rights among masses and give a huge awareness to women to understand their rights and values in every aspect of life.
Vice Chancellor, FJWU, Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir was also present on the occasion.
A question-answer session related to women rights was held at the end of screening to give the students an insight on women rights conditions in contemporary era.
At the end Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir presented souvenir to the delegates.
