'Int'l Human Rights Day' Observed In Hyderabad

Various human rights organisations and associations Monday observed International Human Rights Day and oragnised seminars to highlight the significance of the day.

Sindh Task Force of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan organised a seminar and took out rallies where addressing the participants Prof. Mushtaq Mirani, Prof. Badar Soomro, Ghufrana Arain, Imdad Chandio, Amjad Palijo, Qurat-ul-Ain, Parveen Soomro, Pushpa Kumari, M. Parkash Advocate and Lala Abdul Aleem highlighted the efforts of the task force in raising voice for the rights of women, children and minorities of the province as well as releasing the bonded labour and peasants from the private jails of landlords.

Besides, the office bearers and members of Basic Human Right Commission, Human Rights Forum, Pasban and other organisations also brought out awareness rallies where the speakers demanded the government for protection of women rights, action against child abuse and child labour. The speakers also expressed their grave concern over violation of human rights in Held Jammu and Kashmir by Indian forces and demanded the United Nations to take serious notice of such violations.
