The government is working to improve the standard of schools education in Pakistani schools in United Arab Emirates and hiring process of teachers has been made more transparent.
It was stated by Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs Andleeb Abbass while responding to a question in the National Assembly. She said that there were seven Pakistani community schools in United Arab Emirates including two schools in Abu Dhabi and one each in Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
She said that the Missions had constituted board of Governors under the chairmanship of the Ambassador (in case of Emirate of Abu Dhabi) and the Consul General (in case of Dubai and Northern Emirates) to look after the important matters pertaining to the schools.
The hiring process of the teachers, she said, had been made more transparent and streamlined by respective schools under the guidance of Embassies.
Missions have appointed academic committees consisting of professionals to ensure better standard of education in accordance with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC)'s requirements.
She said the Missions regularly interact with the community to generate funds to meet the needs of the institutions while contribution is also made to overcome schools' financial issues by the Missions themselves.
To this particular issue, the Speaker Asad Qaiser said thatit is a serious issue and serious efforts should be made to overcome it.
