KP Governor For Collective Efforts To Wipe Out Corruption

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Shah Farman Monday called for collective efforts, rule of law and strict accountability to eradicate the menace of corruption from the society.
He emphasized upon setting high moral standard to curb corruption and other social evils besides improving good governance.
He expressed these views as a chief guest at a seminar held here at Governor House on "Transparency and Good Governance for Better Service Delivery" in connection with International Anti Corruption Day, organized by NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The governor said all the stakeholders should support the efforts of government and anti corruption bodies against corrupt practices and ensure transparency at every level.
He said "Corruption is major impediment towards good governance and equal distribution of wealth at gross-root level to improve living standard of less privileged class.
" The governor said that "we should work collectively to make our country particularly KP a role model of good governance. Our sincere efforts, strong commitment and above all political will can convert this cherished goal into reality."On this occasion, Director General NAB, Farmanullah, in his address informed the participants about the NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa performance in eliminating corruption from society. Dr. Qibla Ayaz, Justice (R) Fasihuddin Mulk and Faryal Ali Gohar also addressed the seminar.
The event was attended by Director General NAB Farmanullah, Justice (R) Fasihi-ud-Din Mulk, Dr. Qibla Ayaz, Human activist Faryal Ali Gohar, Administrative Secretaries, Police Officers, Vice Chancellors and students of colleges & Varsities and representatives of civil society.
