The Met office said the current wave of weather would persist during next couple of days.

During the last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places in Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions.

According to synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting western and upper parts of the country and likely to persist in next 24 hours.

The recorded rainfall (mm) during Last 24 hours: Rawalpindi (Chaklala14, Shamsabad 09), Chakwal, Bhakkar 11, Kamra 10, Layyah, Joharabad 08, Jhang 06, D.G.Khan 04, Sialkot, Hafizabad, T.T.Singh 03, Khanewal, Shorkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat 02, Faisalabad and Narowal 01.

Farmers have been advised to take adoptive measures including preparation of fine bed for wheat sowing and complete wheat sowing as early as possible. Late sown of wheat will be affected by lower night temperature which affects germination and crop stand.
