Seminar On Implementation Of SDGs On Dec.12

A Seminar titled "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Implementation and the Collaboration among Universities" will be held on December 12 here on the occasion of International Students Convention 2018.

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Dec, 2018 ) :A Seminar titled "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Implementation and the Collaboration among Universities" will be held on December 12 here on the occasion of International Students Convention 2018.

During the working sessions, the participants would voluntarily align their respective institutions with one or more than one SDGs and would formulate a plan with other participating universities in the same areas of interest, a press release on Saturday said.

Universities' involvement at the highest level in the event will provide road map to the educational institutions in Pakistan towards achieving these goals. This important event will be attended by vice chancellors, government officials, experts and policy makers to share their ideas on the realization of the SDGs.

President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan will be the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the seminar.

The activity is being organized as follow-up of the earlier Seminar on "Sustainable Development Goals: The Role of Universities," held in July, 2018 with focus over facilitating implementation and integration of 2030 Agenda for Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The participants had highlighted the role of universities in effective implementation of SDGs and presented eight key recommendations in this regard.
