Charsadda enters into Afghan Refugees Cricket League final

Charsadda entered into the final after defeating Haripur in the first semi-final of the ongoing Afghan Refugees Cricket League being played under the aegis of Afghan Commissionerate and UNHCR here at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Dec, 2018 ) :Charsadda entered into the final after defeating Haripur in the first semi-final of the ongoing Afghan Refugees cricket League being played under the aegis of Afghan Commissionerate and UNHCR here at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Haripur after winning the toss, elected to bat first and set up 144 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Shafique was the high runs contributor who made 35 runs including three boundaries, Salahuddin made 19 runs with two boundaries, and Shakir made unbeaten 28 runs with three boundaries and one six.

For Charsadda right-arm medium fast bowler Muhammad Nabi grabbed three wickets, Saleem got one wicket.

In reply, Charsadda chased the target after playing 17.3 overs for the loss of six wickets and thus won the match by four wickets. Kamran struck an elegant knock of 57 runs including six boundaries, Khan Malook made 19 runs.

Fahim grabbed three wickets and Kamran took two wickets.

In the other match Mansehra beat Bannu. Manshera scored 175 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Anar Gul smashed 61 runs with seven boundaries, Arif (24), Mubashir (15) were the key contributors. Bilal, Javed got three wickets each and Israr got two wickets.

In reply, Bannu bundled out for 136 runs after playing 19.2 overs with Naeem scored 40 runs. Anar Gul claimed three wickets. Anar Gul got three wickets.

In the first quarter-final Nowshera beat Manshera. Nowshera while playing first scored 121 runs in 19.2 overs. Imran (67) with four boundaries and two sixes, Faisal scored 24 runs. Anar Gul took four wickets.

In reply, Manshera bundled out for 119 runs with Habib Khan scored 66 runs. Imtiaz took three wickets.
