Prime Minister Imran Khan Forms Committee To Address Issues Of Federal Capital

Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday formulated a committee to focus on ways to address the civic issues of the federal capital with a strict directive not to cause problems for the common man, while ensuring strict action against the land mafia.
The committee to address issues dealing with encroachments and development matters of the federal capital would be headed by Minister for Interior Shehryar Afridi and will comprise Minister for Health Aamir Kiyani, MNAs Raja Khurrum and Ali Nawaz Awan.
The mandate of the committee will be to formulate a policy to address the issue of encroachments for goods, following the directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
It will particularly focus on measures to ensure that small house owners, shopkeepers, daily wage earners, street side vendors are not disturbed.
He however directed that no leniency should be shown towards those who have grabbed government and private land for years.
