New Cattle Markets To Be Developed At Lodhran, Khanewal

Commissioner Imran Sikandar Baloch Friday chaired 25th board meeting of Multan Cattle Markets Management Company (MCMMC) and decided to obtain land on lease in Lodhran and Khanewal to develop new model cattle markets there.

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Dec, 2018 ) :Commissioner Imran Sikandar Baloch Friday chaired 25th board meeting of Multan Cattle Markets Management Company (MCMMC) and decided to obtain land on lease in Lodhran and Khanewal to develop new model cattle markets there.

The commissioner ordered the MCMMC to improve arrangements at cattle markets for animals and cattle traders. He said that boundary wall of model cattle market in Multan should be built as soon as the funding is made available from Punjab.

MD MCMMC Dr Hammad Ali said that construction of boundary wall would begin without any delay after release of funds and added that cattle markets at Balail and Samorana would be shifted to model cattle market Jaswant Nagar where better facilities would be made available.

He said that model cattle market would be operational five days a week where 35 sheds for bigger and nine sheds for smaller animals would be set up.

He said that contract for parking spaces of Samorana, Jhamlera and Machiwal have been awarded.

Mayor Multan Naveedul Haq Arain, additional deputy commissioner Headquarters Malik Shafiq, AC revenue Irfan Anwar, DSP Talat, MCMMC board members attended the meeting. Deputy commissioners of the districts concerned participated in the meeting via video link.
