IGP Punjab distributes compensation award among 10 cops

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi said that officers and officials who received injuries in the line of duty are real heroes of the nation and valuable asset of the Police Department.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Dec, 2018 ) :Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi said that officers and officials who received injuries in the line of duty are real heroes of the nation and valuable asset of the Police Department.

Addressing the compensation award distribution ceremony, held at Central Police Office on Friday, he said that these heroes would be encouraged as they put their lives in danger while protecting the lives and properties of the public.

The IGP distributed cheques among 10 officers/officials on behalf of the Punjab government and Police Department, simultaneously.

According to details, DSP Sheikhupura (Ferozwala), Kamran Zaman was given Rs 20 lakh cheque including Rs 10 lakh from Punjab govt and Rs 10 lakh from Police Department, Inspector Iftikhar Ahmad of Sheikhupura district was given Rs 15 lakh including Rs 10 lakh from Police Department and Rs 5 lakh from the Punjab government.

Similarly, Constable Mushtaq Ahmad of Sheikhupura district was given Rs 15 lakh cheque including Rs 10 lakh from Police Department and Rs 5 lakh from the Punjab government.

Whereas, Constable Muhammad Anwar of district Kasur was given 15 lakh cheque including 10 lakh from Police Department and 5 lakh from the Punjab government, Constable Muhammad Riaz of district Kasur was given 15 lakh including 10 lakh from Police Department and 5 lakh from the Punjab government, Constable Muhammad Irshad was given Rs 2 lakh cheque from Police Department, Head Constable Iftikhar Ahmad, Constable Rafaqat Ali, Constable Sabir Ali and Constable Muhammad Javaid of district Kasur were also given one lakh rupees cheque each from the Police Department.

Additional IGP Welfare and Finance, Rao Sardar Ali and AIG Finance, Ghazi Salah-ud-Din were also present on the occasion.
