Moscow Regrets No Final Declaration Adopted at OSCE Ministerial Council - Lavrov

Russia regrets that the 25th Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has once again failed to adopt a final declaration as a result of the body's meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.

MILAN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th December, 2018) Russia regrets that the 25th Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has once again failed to adopt a final declaration as a result of the body's meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.

The two-day ministerial meeting began in Milan on Thursday.

"We regret that once again [the participants of the Ministerial Council] failed to adopt a general political declaration the main final document which is planned every year, but was last adopted back in 2002," Lavrov said at a press conference.

The Ministerial Council is the organization's main decision-making body comprising foreign ministers of all OSCE participating states and gathering once a year.
