"As I see it, she was arrested in Canada at US request as this company [Huawei] does business in Iran. And this is prohibited by the US law, then what does China have to do with it? What does Huawei company have to do with it? This is a very arrogant, great-power policy that nobody accepts. It is rejected even by US closest allies. And end should be put to it," Lavrov said at a briefing.
Meng, who is also the daughter of Huawei's founder Ren Zhengfei, was arrested in the Canadian city of Vancouver last Saturday at the US request on suspicion of violating US sanctions against Iran.
