Turkey Urges OSCE to Step Up Efforts to Fight Terrorism, Radicalization - Foreign Minister

Ankara is calling on the member states of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to intensify their efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, as well as to tackle the rise of intolerance and discrimination, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday.

MILAN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th December, 2018) Ankara is calling on the member states of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to intensify their efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, as well as to tackle the rise of intolerance and discrimination, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday.

"Dear colleagues, we need collective action against the rise of intolerance and discrimination. Our joint fight against terrorism, radicalization and extremism should be intensified as well," Cavusoglu said at the 25th OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan.

According to Cavusoglu, Turkey is "at the forefront of this fight," and expects "better cooperation" from its partners.

The annual meeting of the Ministerial Council, the central decision-making body of the OSCE, started earlier on Thursday and will last through Friday.
