ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 06th Dec, 2018) The Ministry of Defence today held a meeting of the 'Joint Legal Affairs Committee' at Wahat Al Karama.

The meeting was chaired by Brigadier Salem Juma Al Kaabi, Director of the Military Space Directorate of the General Command of the Armed Forces, and was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police. The participants discussed the launch of the '2019 Working Strategy'.

Following the meeting, the committee members toured the memorial, which includes the 31 massive aluminum panels leaning on one another to symbolise solidarity between the people, the leadership of the UAE and the brave soldiers.

They also visited the Pavilion of Honour, which boasts a roof constructed from eight slabs, seven symbolising the emirates of the UAE while the eighth representing the fallen national heroes. Two passages from the Quran are also inscribed on the walls of the Pavilion.

The location of the meeting represents a symbolic gesture commemorating the Emirati martyrs who died while protecting the country, and to motivate all committees and working groups to maximise their efforts to achieve excellence and success in their work.
