He further said that there is discrimination between Lahore and Karachi regarding jobs in cricket.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 1st December, 2018) Former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket board (PCB) Najam Sethi has made some important revelations.

According to media reports, the former PCB chairman said that he regretted joining the PCB after ’35 punctures’ allegations but Nawaz Sharif advised me not to leave the post as it was their issue.

He further said that there is discrimination between Lahore and Karachi regarding jobs in cricket.

Upon the offer of chief secretary, Rashid Latif demanded him to make him the head of anti-corruption body. However, he was not given the post for supporting Danish Kaneria.

Mohsin Khan had demanded to make him the coach or chief selector. I consulted some people regarding this who advised me not to give him the position and bring new people instead.

Sethi added that Mohsin Khan used to talk ill of Wasim Akram but the two are sitting together today.

The PCB chairman further said that there is a recommendation group in the cricket academy.

"People advised me not bring Waqar Younis and he didn’t perform that well but still, he criticized me at the end despite me being the one to make him the coach," Sethi further said.

Najam Sethi was the caretaker prime minister at the time of 2013 elections. The PTI chairman claimed that on election night, Najam Sethi called Nawaz Sharif and assured him that ‘35 punctures’ had been fixed. Imran Khan also claimed that Sethi was made PCB chairman for fixing these 35 punctures.
