Russia's Bogdanov, Israeli Social Equality Minister Discuss Humanitarian Ties, Middle East

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Israeli Social Equality Minister Gila Gamliel discussed humanitarian relations of the two countries as well as Middle Eastern crises during their talks in Moscow on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th November, 2018) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Israeli Social Equality Minister Gila Gamliel discussed humanitarian relations of the two countries as well as middle Eastern crises during their talks in Moscow on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"In the course of the talks, which were also attended by Israeli Ambassador to Russia Gary Koren, further development of the Russian-Israeli bilateral relations with a focus on strengthening humanitarian ties was discussed. Some aspects of Middle East issues were also addressed," the ministry said in a statement.

On November 19, Bogdanov and Koren held a meeting where they discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip as well as the prospects of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict settlement.

Egypt's intervention in mid-November halted the most intense round of armed confrontation between the Israelis and the Palestinians in the past four years the Palestinians had fired almost 500 missiles and mortar shells at southern Israel, while the Israelis conducted strikes on over 150 buildings and facilities in the Gaza Strip.
