The Russian Emergencies Ministry has delivered the first batch of essential medicines to Zimbabwe for the treatment of cholera, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th November, 2018) The Russian Emergencies Ministry has delivered the first batch of essential medicines to Zimbabwe for the treatment of cholera, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday."The ceremony of transferring the first batch of the Russian aid in the form of medicines, delivered by the Russian Emergencies Ministry, to the Zimbabweans took place in Harare on November 28 in the presence of representatives of the Russian Embassy," the statement read.
The aid was delivered as part of the project to support the World Health Organization's (WHO) emergency preparedness program, according to the statement.
In early September, the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) of Zimbabwe declared a cholera outbreak in Harare.
