Speakers For Promoting Literary Activities

The speakers during a concluding ceremony of a literary festival urged the government to promote literary activities in order to eliminate social evils.
The Faisalabad Arts Council in collaboration with the city district government, Allied Bank and Interloop organized the two-day 5th Faisalabad Literary Festival at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium which concluded here on Saturday night.
As many as 13 sessions were held on the concluding day in which renowned poets, intellectuals, philosophers, artists and actors participated and delivered thought-provoking lectures on various topics.
The speakers said Pakistan is very rich in human talent but there is a dire need to polish hidden abilities of people.
The literary festival was a positive step to introduce the new generation with literature, they added.
Among the guests include Anwar Maqsood, Najeeb Jamal, Shahnawaz Zaidi, Adnan Baig, Zahida Hina, Masood Ashaar, Dr Nasir Abbas, Hameed Shahid, Farooq Qaisar, Arshad Mehmood, Meera Hashmi, Sovera Nadeem, Shahid Nadeem, Narwan Nadeem, Noorul Hasan, Kishwar Naheed, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Arifa Syeda, Aksi Mufti, Jamal Shah, Haris Khaleeq, Yasmeen Tahir, Naeem Tahir, Ali Tahir, Dr Sheeba Alam, Ata Ullah Isa Khailvi, Sanwal Isa Khailvi, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Wusaat Ullah Khan, Sarmad Ali, Arif Nizami, Rao Manzar Hayat, Asif Raza Meerand Asghar Nadeem.
