PM to extend cabinet again, Moonis Elahi likely to get ministry: Sources

Moonis Elahi is likely to be given the Ministry of Industries, sources said.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 22nd November, 2018) Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to extend the federal cabinet one more time.

Sources said that the prime minister has decided to extend the federal cabinet following which, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Moonis Elahi is likely to be given a ministry.

Moonis Elahi is likely to be given the Ministry of Industries, sources said. However, the final announcement in this regard will be made by the government at a suitable time.

With the induction of six new ministers last month, the size of the Federal Cabinet has already swelled to 30, including 24 Federal Ministers and six Ministers of State.

The latest batch of six ministers were administered oath of office by President Dr Arif Alvi at a simple ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Oct 5.

The Cabinet also includes four Advisers and four Special Assistants, who are treated as members of the Cabinet, and can attend Cabinet meetings on special invitation by the Prime Minister, however they do not take oath of their office.
