The Cardiac Alliance, a team of mostly US heart surgeons and other medical specialists, is seeking ways to increase its presence in Russia to provide medical assistance and training, team leader Bill Novick told Sputnik.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th November, 2018) The Cardiac Alliance, a team of mostly US heart surgeons and other medical specialists, is seeking ways to increase its presence in Russia to provide medical assistance and training, team leader Bill Novick told Sputnik."We are trying to increase our presence in Russia," Novick said on Monday.
Novick explained that the Cardiac Alliance is attempting to find suitable financial resources to expand conduct surgeries on heart patients in additional cities in Russia as well as train Russian doctors.
"In this case we will actually increase our presence in Russia probably by being present in another two cities," Novick said.
The Cardiac Alliance has previously performed surgeries in several Russian cities, including Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod and Kemerovo.
Novick explained that Cardiac Alliance representatives, who usually work in different "hot spots" around the world, will also visit Ukraine this year among several other countries.
"Probably we will do 14-16 operations the cities of Kharkov and Kiev," Novick said.
The Cardiac Alliance plans to continue its project in Voronezh in March of 2019, Novick added.
