Chinese artists enthrall audience at Chinese National Music Concert

Embassy of the People's Republic of China, in collaboration with China Cultural Center in Pakistan and Jinan Opera and Dance Drama Theater on Saturday evening organized a Chinese National Music Concert- Music on Spring at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Nov, 2018 ) :Embassy of the People's Republic of China, in collaboration with China Cultural Center in Pakistan and Jinan Opera and Dance Drama Theater on Saturday evening organized a Chinese National Music Concert- Music on Spring at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).

Senator Faisal Javed Khan, Cultural Counselor of Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Pakistan, You Yi and Director General PNCA Jamal Shah also participated as the Chief guests.

In his welcome address, Cultural Counselor of Embassy of China You Yi thanked PNCA for extending cooperation.

He said that the cultural troupe visit to Pakistan showed strong bilateral relations in the field of art and culture, people to people contact and education sectors.

He said that in process of building One Belt and One Road project and specifically China Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Pakistan and China were going to further strengthen their relations in the field of culture.

He said the cultural troupe was specially invited to entertain the people of Pakistan with beautiful performances.

Senator Faisal Javed Khan highly appreciating the performances said that such events would further strengthen close ties between the two friendly countries.

He said "Pakistan and China are time tested friends." Director General PNCA Syed Jamal Shah welcomed the cultural troupe of China and said that PNCA would always welcome Chinese artists.

He announced that second CPEC Cultural Caravan would be organized in 2019, adding that such cultural interactions would further strengthen the cordial relations between the two friendly countries.

A 15-member Chinese Artists/Musicians including Zhang Dawei, Liu lizhuang, Zhouhaifeng, Gao fei, Ms. Zhang xuan, Ms. Gai juan, Ms. Zhang ben ling, Ms. Wang shuai, Lang shuo, Ms. Li cheng cheng, Ms. Luo shu yun, Ms. Wang ziyue, Ms. Meng xiaoyu, Gao jin, Ms.

Gao de xia performed in the musical concert and got big applause from the jam packed auditorium of PNCA.

The performance was started with jubilant step by higher Golden snake dance, beautiful flowers and full moon "Bao Lun Tune Happy smiles dance.

Pakistani artists also performed "Sohni Darthi Allah Rakhe" and got big applause from the audience.

Chinese Artist Gao Dexia presented beautiful song Yemeng Mountain Minor during solo performance.

The "Music on Spring" concert was rich in content and forms. With its strong artistic appeal, the style of this concert can be adjusted and adapted according to the needs of different performing venues.

In addition, this musical concert was also equipped with multimedia video materials and English subtitles, which was suitable for promoting it as a foreign cultural exchange performance project.

Jinan is also known as "City of Springs".

"Springs and willows are all around the city, hills and lakes are all in sight" is a true portrayal of Jinan's charming beauty. Therefore, by combining spring culture, customs of Jinan, Chinese folk instruments such as pipa, dulcimer, guzheng, pipa, bamboo flute, and erhu, together, national "Music on Spring" concert was created in 2015. Colorful performances and unique musical charm beautifully blend together to show the long charming history and unique aura of Jinan.

Ji'nan Opera and Dance Drama Theatre, founded in 1959, is a professional artistic creation and performance group directly affiliated to Ji'nan. Now it's mainly engaged in the creation and performance of opera, dance drama, musical, vocal music, instrumental music, dance and other arts. Over the past 50 years, it has successively crated and performed such plays as Red Coral.

This concert arranges classic Chinese music through its different performing forms such as ensemble, solo, group and new folk music.
