Over 4.9mln Vehicles Registered By Sindh Excise Dept Till Sept 2018

As many as 49,10,733 vehicles of different models made are registered with the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department in Karachi till September 2018, while 37849 vehicles registered in October 2018.
This was briefed in a meeting chaired by Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla here at his office on Monday, said a statement.
Secretary Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Abdul Rahim Shaikh, Director Generals Shabbir Ahmed Shaikh, Shoaib Ahmed Siddique, Director Admin Syed Sibtain and other officers also attended the meeting.
Director General Shabbir Ahmed Shaikh told the meeting that as many as 1171 ambulances, 10134 buses, 60853 Jeeps, 239575 rickshaws, 2914394 motorcycles, 12247 minibuses 16884 mini trucks, 184636 pickups, 29070 taxis and 119017 vans and vehicles of other models had been registered till this October.
The minister asked the officers to make registration/transfer ofthe vehicles more transparent and to facilitate the people.
