Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) confirmed to Sputnik on Saturday that MiG-29M fighter jet had crashed in Egypt during a training flight.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd November, 2018) Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) confirmed to Sputnik on Saturday that MiG-29M fighter jet had crashed in Egypt during a training flight.The Russian Kommersant newspaper reported earlier in the day that one of MiG-29M/M2 jets, delivered to Egypt earlier this year under a commercial contract, had crashed. An Egyptian pilot ejected safely, according to the newspaper.
"We have the operational information about the crash of MiG-29M [fighter jet] of the Egyptian Air Force. Our technical experts will soon travel to Egypt to assist in the investigation into the incident," the UAC press service said.
