KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 01st November, 2018) Ukrainian police said Wednesday they had detained 52 suspected hooligans carrying bludgeons, masks and cans of pepper spray near government buildings in Kiev.
"Pechera police district investigators have opened a criminal probe on suspicion of hooliganism ... The offense can carry a penalty of up to seven years in jail," the press office said, adding some suspects were underage.
A far-right rally was held earlier in the day outside of the administrative building housing the Ukrainian ministers' cabinet to protest the announced hike in utility prices, most notably in gas tariffs.
