Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides will start his visit to the United States on November 6, during which he is set to hold meetings with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other officials, including US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell, local media reported on Tuesday, citing a diplomatic source.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th October, 2018) Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides will start his visit to the United States on November 6, during which he is set to hold meetings with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other officials, including US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell, local media reported on Tuesday, citing a diplomatic source.

The Kathimerini newspaper reported that while the schedule for Christodoulides' visit had not been finalized yet, the minister was also set to meet with former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who announced her resignation earlier in the month, in New York on November 6 and then move to Washington for more meetings.

The Mitchell-Christodoulides meeting was initially set to take place in Nicosia on Thursday but was postponed due to Mitchell facing difficulties when trying to include Cyprus on his itinerary for the trip to the region. Mitchell and Christodoulides are expected to meet on November 6 in Washington.
