Moscow is satisfied with the results of Saturday's summit on Syrian settlement, which took place in Istanbul with participation of the leaders of Russia, Turkey, Germany and France, and believes that the meeting was a good step forward on the way to peace in Syria, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said on Monday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th October, 2018) Moscow is satisfied with the results of Saturday's summit on Syrian settlement, which took place in Istanbul with participation of the leaders of Russia, Turkey, Germany and France, and believes that the meeting was a good step forward on the way to peace in Syria, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said on Monday.
"We are satisfied with the results of the summit, with the leaders of Russia, Turkey, Germany and France having taken part in such a format for the first time. As you know, this summit was devoted primarily to reliable and long-term settlement in Syria. We believe that the meeting was a good step forward in that connection," the diplomat said.
