MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th October, 2018) As many as three launches of Soyuz-ST carrier rockets from the Kourou spaceport in French Guiana are planned to take place before the end of this year, according to information materials for Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Istanbul for a quadrilateral summit on Syria.
Putin will participate in the summit with the leaders of France, Germany and Turkey later on Saturday.
"Three more [Soyuz rocket] launches are planned this year," the document read.
In March, the Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle launched four O3b telecommunications satellites from the Kourou spaceport. The first Soyuz launch from Kourou took place in October 2011.� �
