Severe Floods In Southern Mexico Kill 13 People - Reports

MEXICO CITY (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th October, 2018) Floods caused by heavy rains killed 13 people in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca, local media reported on Friday.

According to the Posta media outlet, the rescue teams are searching for a family that went missing during the disaster.

The Mexican Interior Ministry declared a state of emergency in 88 municipalities of the Oaxaca state because of the torrential rains that hit the area on October 19-20.

Last month, the state of emergency was introduced in a number of municipalities of the northwestern Mexican states of Sonora and Sinaloa amid the heavy monsoon rainfall.
