Russian Soyuz-2.1b Launches From Plesetsk For Defense Ministry - Statement

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th October, 2018) A unit of the space component of the Russian Aerospace Forces has launched the Soyuz-2.1b rocket, carrying a spacecraft for the Defense Ministry, from Plesetsk Cosmodrome at 03:15 a.m. Moscow time (00:15 GMT) on Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket was supervised by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces Col. Gen. Alexander Golovko, who arrived at the cosmodrome to control the preparation, the liftoff and the flight of the carrier rocket," the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry noted that all the preparations for the launch had been carried out in a normal mode.
