Moscow Ready to Discuss INF Treaty with Washington 'Without Hysteria' - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that Moscow is ready to discuss the possible US withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) with American partners without any 'hysteria' and expressed hope that he would be able to touch upon this issue during his meeting with US President Donald Trump at a meeting in Paris in November.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th October, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that Moscow is ready to discuss the possible US withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) with American partners without any 'hysteria' and expressed hope that he would be able to touch upon this issue during his meeting with US President Donald Trump at a meeting in Paris in November.

Speaking at the joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte after talks in Moscow, Putin said that Washington uses unproven allegations of Russia's violations of INF Treaty as a pretext for deploying in European countries missiles and aerial drones capable of striking targets in Russia.

"We are carefully analyzing everything that happens in real life. But, I repeat, we are ready to work here with our American partners without any hysteria. What matters is what will follow, what the decisions will be," Putin stressed.

"I hope that we will be able to touch upon all these issues with the US president, at least briefly, on the sidelines of events in Paris on November 11," he added.
