Russian Defense Ministry to Invite 86 Countries to Take Part in 2019 Army Games - Official

The Russian Defense Ministry will invite 86 countries to take part in the 2019 International Army Games, Lt. Gen. Ivan Buvaltsev, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry's Main Combat Training Directorate, said on Wednesday.

KUBINKA (Russia) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 24th October, 2018) The Russian Defense Ministry will invite 86 countries to take part in the 2019 International Army Games, Lt. Gen. Ivan Buvaltsev, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry's Main Combat Training Directorate, said on Wednesday.

"We will send invitations to the defense ministries of 86 countries so that they will take part in the games. Among others we will invite four countries for the first time: Mozambique, Tunisia, Sri Lanka and Madagascar," Buvaltsev said in the Patriot congress center.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the United States, Mexico, Cuba as well as 11 South American countries will be invited to participate in the games. Germany, France and the United Kingdom will also have an opportunity to join the games.

The 2018 International Army Games were held from July 28 to August 11 on the territories of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, and Russia. A total of 32 countries took part in the competitions.
