Beauty Of Lus Dana Attracts Thousands Of Visiters Every Year: DFO

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Oct, 2018 ) :Lus Dana, a tourist hilly area of district Bagh Azad Kashmir, attracts a large number of tourists from across the country to enjoy winter season with their family and friends.

While talking to ptv on Sunday, Designated Federal Official (DFO) ,Poonch, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) forest department ,Sardar M Latif said department is putting all its efforts to sustain and further enhance its beauty by growing plants in the area.

He assured his commitment to preserve the existing forests besides increasing plantation in the area in a bid to fight against threatening global warming and water scarcity in the region.

Sardar Latif appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan's initiative of launching "Plant for Pakistan" an afforestation drive in the country and the billion tree plantation in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw (KP).

Responding to a question he stressed that knowing that global warming and water scarcity would become a real challenge in the years to come, the department is committed to 'Plant for Pakistan' and plant for Kashmir'.

He was of the view,"we are focusing on 'plant for Pakistan' drive and taking various steps in this regard as the department has been arranging campaigns from time to time for communication with local community just to motivate and raise the importance of plantation.

He explained that the department also does artificial and regeneration plantation in those areas where forests have been eliminated adding government and department are taking keen interest in 'clean Pakistan and green Pakistan' drive.

He emphasized that it is the duty of every Pakistani to show the love for country by seed a plant to safe the lives of generations.

Meanwhile a tourist said Las Danna is a beautiful tourist resort that attracts thousands of people from the world and requested the concerned authorities to pay special attention as the roads are needed to be constructed .

A local said mostly tourists complained for non-availability of health felicities in the area besides not having any proper workshop for vesicles maintenance.

It is pertinent to mention here that Las Danna is located 15 kilometers (9.3 m) from Bagh city at the height of 8,612 feet (2,625 m).
