One of the students managed to escape and returned to the school with a bruised leg, according to Journal du Cameroon newspaper.
The fate of other students remains unknown as school authorities are yet to issue an official statement, the newspaper said.
Cameroon's police launched a chase but were unable to capture the gunmen.
