Welfare Measures Being Taken For People: Minister

Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Baitul Maal, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema on Saturday said the present government was taking a number of steps for welfare of the suffering humanities in an organized way.
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Oct, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Baitul Maal, Muhammad Ajmal Cheema on Saturday said the present government was taking a number of steps for welfare of the suffering humanities in an organized way.
He was addressing a meeting during his visit to the Allied Hospital here. Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Khurram Altaf, AMS Dr Akram Cheema, DMS Dr Fahim Yousaf, Medical Social Officers Ambrin Iqbal, Sanaullah and others were also present.
The minister expressed his satisfaction over performance of medical-social services section, saying that it was very important task to provide free medicines and other facilities to poor patients.
He assured that the financial resources would also be provided other than Zakat funds to expand services regarding the help of poor patients.
MS Allied Hospital Dr Khurram Altaf and Medical Social Officer Ambrin Iqbal informed the minister that funds of Rs 32.5 million were being spent to help the poor patients during the current financial year.
Later, the minister also visited various sections of the hospital to review quality of medical services. He also inquired about the health of patients and said that benefits of government hospitals would be provided to common patients in a real sense.
Earlier, the minister also planted a sapling in the premises of the Allied Hospital and said that dream of Green Pakistan was being materialized with a wide range of tree plantation.
