Seminar Held At University Of Agriculture Faisalabad

An international seminar on "Improving Agriculture Extension in Pakistan through Communication for Development" was held by Institute of Agri-Extension and Rural Development, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) in collaboration with USAID, Ohio State University, USA and HEC at UAF here on Saturday.

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Oct, 2018 ) :An international seminar on "Improving Agriculture Extension in Pakistan through Communication for Development" was held by Institute of Agri-Extension and Rural Development, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) in collaboration with USAID, Ohio State University, USA and HEC at UAF here on Saturday.

Chairing the session, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa said " We have to put special focus on human development to fight against challenges of modern era." He added that it was the need of the hour to adopt modern agriculture trends to boost the productivity.

Ohio State University Professor Robert Agunga said that 65 per cent population in Pakistan was below the age of 30 years. "We should take special measurers to make them effective and skilled member of the society who will lead the country towards prosperity." Director Institute of Agri Extension and Rural Development UAF Dr Khalid Mehmmod said that the effective community techniques were vital to motivate the farming community about the latest trends.
