Punjab Safe Cities Authority Introduces Online Portal For E-challans

Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced an online portal for E-challans for the ease of public.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Oct, 2018 ) :Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced an online portal for E-challans for the ease of public.
Citizens can now access the portal at 'echallan.psca.gop.pk' and by giving in their vehicle registration number and CNIC, they can view and print E-challans, if any, issued to them.
The PSCA has issued 87,000 E-challans so far and collected Rs 11 million as fine.
These views were expressed by PSCA Chief Operating Officer (COO) Akbar Nasir Khan at a press conference, held at PSCA headquarters at Qurban Lines here, while introducing e-challan web portal on Saturday.
He said that the PSCA had notified the Excise and Taxation department about more than 9,000 vehicles' records for correction of particulars so far.
Since Sept 23, over 1,000 vehicles had been blacklisted for displaying fake registration numbers and over 100 vehicles detained at police stations for further proceedings.
More than 800 E-challans for violation of traffic rules have been paid at the different branches of Bank of Punjab (BoP) across the province, the COO said and added the PSCA was poised to include over-speeding and one-way violations in its imminent E-challaning phase.
The defaulters of E-challans would be apprehended through ground teams and vehicles would also be seized which would released only after payment of the fine.
People have been advised to transfer the ownership within a month of sale or purchase of vehicles.
