MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th October, 2018) Several violations of the ceasefire were recorded in the Syrian province of Latakia and city of Aleppo over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Syrian Reconciliation said in a statement on Friday.
"Over the past 24 hours, insurgents attacked Ikko, Nahshabba and Jubb-al-Zarur [districts] in Latakia province, Maqans-al-Duwayri, Hayil-al-Andalus, Shahba and Castello districts in Aleppo city," the statement read.
The Russian military also recorded shelling of Syrian government positions near Tall Rifaat city in Aleppo province, the statement added.
The Reconciliation Center delivered 300 food baskets to the settlement of Dahiyat-al-Asad in Damascus province, according to the statement.
Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and terrorist organizations. Russia along with Turkey and Iran are guarantors of the ceasefire regime in Syria.
