POA President Hails Formation Of Women Softball Team By Umar Associate's CEO

President of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Syed Arif Hasan has welcomed the formation of Women Softball Team by Umar Associate's Chief Executive Officer Nadeem Umar.
KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Oct, 2018 ) :President of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Syed Arif Hasan has welcomed the formation of Women Softball Team by Umar Associate's Chief Executive Officer Nadeem Umar.
In a statement here on Friday, the POA President said, this initiative from the private sector will help promote the game of softball. Arif Hasan appreciated National Softball Academy's endeavors for the game. He said the joining of the academy's players in the Umar Associate's team would help the players further improve their performance and it would also provide them with opportunity in the future to prove their mettle at the international level.
Arif Hasan said their mission is to harness the talent of young generation through sports. He said their first priority is to ensure equal sports opportunities to girls as well. He said the National Softball Academy is also playing an important role in POA's Sarsabz Pakistan drive through maximum tree plantation.
