36 Baluchistan Students To Learn Chinese

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has awarded 36 students a Chinese language scholarship for one year.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2018 ) :The Higher education Commission (HEC) has awarded 36 students a Chinese language scholarship for one year.
Official sources told APP that HEC would send the second batch of 36 students including 32 males and four females from Gwadar for one year Chinese language course in Beijing polytechnic University, adding that the first batch of 14 students was sent in March 2018.
She said that in 2017, the Government announced 50 scholarships for Gwadar students in order to meet the local needs emerging due to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
She said that HEC was entrusted with the task of selecting bright students from Gwadar for award of the scholarship.
She said that the HEC Human Resources Development, Division with support of HEC Regional Centre would conduct medical check-up of the students and facilitate them in visa processing.
She said that HEC would also conduct an orientation session in order to explain purpose of language course.
She expressed the view, that for training and creating required work force to meet the need to work in CPEC relevant projects, adding that the local youth can fill the immediate gap only if they are expert in speaking and understand ing Chinese language.
