ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2018 ) :The government will complete all requirements to set up an apex body - ' Naya Pakistan Housing Authority' within current year, the official sources said here Thursday.

This authority will create one-window facility to facilitate and regulate the private sector while the Prime Minister would oversee the operations of the proposed authority that will be set up till the end of this year.

However, till the proposed authority starts formal work, a 17-member task force will look after the project's affairs. Every requirement, whether legislation or registration within Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, will be completed before end of 2018, the source maintained.

A land bank will be set up till end of 2018 as suitable land sites were available with the Federal and provincial governments, local bodies and private sectors.

He said the government would facilitate the project with regard to the provision of land and the data bank of potential beneficiaries of the project will be developed with the help of the NADRA.

Initially, he said the registration process will be started in seven districts including Sukkur, Quetta, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Swat, Islamabad, Faisalabad and people will be asked to submit forms at designated sites of NADRA from October 22.

The people can avail the facility of online form and download it from the website of NADRA while it can be submitted within two months (from October 22 to December 21) along with Rs. 250 registration fee at the selected district offices.

Applicants would be asked basic information like where they want to live and how much money they can pay per month in return for obtaining the house loan, the source added.
